Autism Awareness: Community member dances to benefit The Autism Center at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital
On August 4th at 7:00 pm and August 5th at 2:00pm, Versatile Dance Company will be performing the event called "I, Alone" at the Hanna Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio which will benefit The Autism Center located in UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. Along with Versatile Dance Company, we will have special guest appearances by singer/songwriter from the UK, Richard Walters, and season seven "So You Think You Can Dance" winner Lauren Froderman. The entire show is assured to be a huge success and extraordinarily entertaining! Community member, Claire Westphal will be performing in our show. Claire is a student in the Brecksville-Broadview Hts. School district and will be entering the 6th grade in the fall. She is an Honor Roll student and received both the Presidential Merit Award as well as the Presidential Award for Physical Fitness this past school year. She was also active with Student Council at Central School. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and dancing competitively for the last 4 years at Center Stage Dance Studio in Nortthfield, Ohio. Claire recently performed a self-choreographed dance routine in the Central School's talent show entitled "Central's Got Talent". In 2011, Claire performed in the Cleveland Opera 's production of 'The Pearl Fishers', where she had the role of young Leila. Her other hobbies include reading, crafting, and watching The Disney Channel. Claire is very proud to be part of Versatile Dance Company's production of "I, Alone" on August 4th and 5th at PlayhouseSquare's Hanna Theatre.
