5 Things You Need to Know This Week, Dec. 12 – 18
There are lots of holiday events in Brecksville this week.
- Oakes Road is scheduled to be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. today, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. Drivers should take Barr, Miller or Brecksville roads.
- The Brecksville Chamber of Commerce’s holiday decorations contest ends today. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m.
- The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the district’s education center. According to the agenda, the board will vote on the 2012-2013 district calendar and the school counseling course of study discussed in November.
- The Kiwanis Club of Brecksville’s Santa Delivery will take place this Sunday and gift collection begins on Wednesday at Chippewa Place. Check the club’s website for more details.
- The Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School Orchestra will be performing a holiday concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday. The concert is free, but guests are asked to bring a teddy bear to be donated.
