5 Things You Need to Know This Week, Dec. 5 – 11

There are plenty of holiday events to keep you and your family busy.

 
  1. The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Community Band’s free holiday concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Monday night.
  2. Brecksville City Council meets at 8 p.m. Tuesday in City Hall.
  3. The annual children’s Christmas play is this weekend at Old Town Hall. According to the city’s website, admission is free to all six shows, but everyone is asked to bring a canned good for the Brecksville Food Pantry.
  4. You can make your own gingerbread house at the Brecksville branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday. The program does not require registration.
  5. The Brecksville Center for the Arts is hosting its 20th annual Christmas Concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Brecksville United Methodist Church. According to a press release from the center, the free concert will include performances from the Brecksville Center for the Arts Youth and Adult choruses.
