5 Things You Need to Know This Week, March 7 – March 13

From school events to the arts, there's lots to keep you busy in Brecksville this week.

 
  1. Feeling creative? Auditions for The Music Man continue Monday and Tuesday evenings at the Human Services Center. The production will be a collaboration between a number of local theater and arts groups in honor of Brecksville’s bicentennial.  
  2. The Cuyahoga Valley Career Center is hosting a student job fair from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The fair is open to students in the eight districts the center serves, including Brecksville-Broadview Heights. The businesses present are looking to hire students for seasonal and part-time work. The center’s website includes some tips for students who want to attend.
  3. If you’re interested in learning more about Montessori education, the South Suburban Montessori School is hosting an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Families of prospective students are welcome to attend.
  4. At 2 p.m. on Sunday, the Brecksville branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library will host guitarist Rick Iacoboni, who will play songs by the Beatles. Registration is required. 
  5. And don’t forget to set your clocks forward on Sunday – Daylight Saving Time begins on March 13.
