This young dog gets along well with others.

Barb Wible writes: "Betsy is a lovely 2 year-old Spaniel mix female who looks like a mix of Cocker and Springer Spaniel. She was found as a stray and taken to a county dog shelter. When no one claimed her, this frightened girl came to Canine Lifeline to make a fresh start. Betsy was terribly shy when she first arrived, had no idea about a leash, and had to be carried everywhere she went. At 42 pounds, that was a tough job for her human pals! Fortunately, she's much more comfortable and confident now and will walk on a leash although she still needs some practice in that area. She loves other dogs and especially loves to splash around and even lay in the wading pools in her foster home. Betsy is crate-trained and working on her housetraining skills too. With patience and consistency, she'll have that mastered in no time. Betsy's adoption fee is $150. She's spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up-to-date on vaccinations, wormed, and on flea and tick preventative. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it's a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you're interested in Betsy." Canine Lifeline, an all-volunteer organization, helps find homes for dogs in need. And Brecksville Patch wants to help them get the job done!

Barb Wible, who fosters many of the dogs for Canine Lifeline, has been providing Brecksville Patch with photos and information about some of these dogs.

If you'd like to meet some of the dogs in person, Canine Lifeline takes part in adoption events on the weekends. This week, the group will be at Canine Fun Days in Moreland Hills, and Wible said Betsy will be in attendance.
