There’s a little less than a month left of summer vacation for Brecksville-Broadview Heights’ students. Here are some dates to note and some helpful resources as students and families get ready for classes to begin.

• The first day of school for students is Aug. 29. This applies to grades 1 to 12. We'll have another post specifically for kindergarten later this week.
• But that doesn’t mean school-related activities aren’t already underway. The Parent School Organization has posted its 2012-2013 calendar, which includes details on events like new family or new student orientations and meet the teacher nights by school. These events begin the week of Aug. 20 and continue into September.
• High school fall athletes: Don’t miss the “Meet the Bees” informational meeting on Aug. 5. Pay-to-participate fee forms are also ready.
