Bees to Play at Progressive Field on Saturday
The team is competing in the Cleveland Indians Charities’ High School Hardball Classic.
This weekend, members of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights baseball team will get a unique opportunity to play at Progressive Field.
The team is one of 12 taking part in this year’s Cleveland Indians Charities’ High School Hardball Classic. Brecksville-Broadview Heights will face off against St. Ignatius in the last game of the weekend, which starts at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
“The players are excited,” said Head Coach John Mutch.
Brecksville-Broadview Heights has played in the Hardball Classic in years past, but the last time was 2009, Mutch said. The team is having a good season with 12 wins and two losses so far. It’s a good team with great attitudes, Mutch said.
Anyone who wants to attend the game on Saturday can buy their tickets in advance at the high school or Star Sports. According to the team’s website, the ticket package is $20 and includes a ticket to the Hardball Classic, a ticket to the Cleveland Indians game on July 26 and a Brecksville-Broadview Heights baseball T-shirt.
