The majority of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education meeting on Monday will be closed to the public, but that won’t keep the teachers from speaking their minds.
On Monday, the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Education Association plans to hold a press conference and make an announcement regarding its plans for the start of the school year, said Todd Jaeck. Jaeck is a labor relations consultant from the Ohio Education Association who has been representing the teachers union.
The press conference will begin at 5:45 p.m.—15 minutes before the board meeting—and will be held right outside the Education Center.
The union isn’t giving away the announcement at this time. On the BeesStaff Twitter account, followers were encouraged to wear red to Monday’s meeting and to get there by 5:30 p.m.
The school board meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and to mostly be held in executive session. The full agenda can be found on the district’s website.
