Visitors to Brecksville Florist & Gifts might not notice a difference, but the business recently underwent a significant change.

At the beginning of October, Brecksville Florist merged with Flowers by Cynde.

Patricia Penland, the owner of Brecksville Florist, said the owner of Flowers by Cynde contacted her during the summer and offered her the shop. She’s helping with the transition, Penland said, and Brecksville Florist hired one of the designers from Flowers by Cynde.

“Things are going very well,” said Penland, who has owned Brecksville Florist for about two years. 

The florist employs four lead designers now, with more on call, and three part-time drivers.
