City Council Recognizes Beautification Committee Awards

Brecksville City Council congratulated the winners of the 2011 Beautification Committee awards during Tuesday's meeting.
The winners of the three categories:
- Gina Santucci and Connie Tezie for residential landscaping
- Mark and Barbara Weigand for century home.
- Ara and Mila Kallibjian for water feature
Mayor Jerry N. Hruby also announced the ribbon cutting of the Old Royalton Road bridge, and the bridge's dedication to fallen Marine Sgt. Dennis E. Kancler. Both are planned for Wednesday.
"It’s a very, very nice gesture," Hruby said. "It’s a way to keep in mind we had one of our young men who went off to war and didn’t return the way we hoped him to return."
