Gerald J. Kaufman, Jr., of Brecksville, died last week at the age of 61.

Faulhaber Funeral Home, which oversaw the services, provided the following information.

Kaufman leaves behind his parents, Gerald J. Sr. and Elizabeth, his brother Michael (Pamela Findzel), his sister Deborah and his supportive friends.

According to the funeral home’s website, Kaufman worked as a software engineer in Colorado and pursued many hobbies, including flying a glider.

There was a memorial mass Wednesday morning and there will be a gathering for family and friends later this week.
