The Chippewa Garden Club has some tips for residents who want to feed the birds this winter.

While spring and summer might be the most popular seasons for gardeners, there are still plenty of things homeowners can do now to prepare their yards for fall and winter.

Some members of the Chippewa Garden Club volunteered to share some of their autumn tips with Brecksville Patch. Today’s topic is feeding the birds through the cold months.

Homeowners can feed birds using store-bought sunflower seeds or plain suet, said garden club member Lynne Evans, or they can try this simple recipe using seeds and peanut butter.

Check Brecksville Patch on Thursday and Friday for more video tips from the garden club.
