Wilberforce,
you were hoping that Romney would pick a moderate but he chose someone who might actually accomplish something good.

Mr. Ian Jones,
and now after the 24 hour fundraising totals and the rise of GOP enthusiasm are reported, he should be more worried.

It took me a second since I am "womb challenged" but now I get it...you are referring to the "war against women." This mythological war is equivalent to unicorns.

However you have piqued my curiosity. I have a wife and two of my kids are beautiful little girls, please let me know what vicious things Mitt and Paul are planning for them.

"check your intellect at the door."

And this coming from a wingnut who only believes what he's told to believe. That's funny...you acting like you actually know what "intellect" is. When it comes to intellect, Patrick Star has you beat. By miles!

Ryan voted against the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay act, a law that makes it easier for women to challenge unequal pay. Ryan believes that life begins at conception and that abortion should be illegal in all cases, including rape, incest and to save the life of the mother. Ryan co-sponsored federal personhood legislation called the "Sanctity of Human Life Act." For those unfamiliar with "personhood" bills, this is legislation to give a fetus all the rights of an individual, "to provide that human life shall be deemed to begin with fertilization." The real world impact of such a law would be to dramatically curb if not outright outlaw abortion, limit some forms of birth control and even threaten in vitro fertilization.

I heard Ryan was also going to force women to walk behind men, not be allowed in public without their husbands (or a male relative), make them wear weird clothes that cover their entire bodies and make any sins against modesty or infidelity punishable by public stoning. He wants women to be second class citizens. He will not allow little girls to go to school either.

Ryan is staunchly against the contraception mandate included in Obamacare, claiming it infringes on religious freedom. Like Mitt Romney, he wants to repeal Obamacare -- which on Aug. 1 began covering a number of preventative health services for women at no additional cost. While being against more women having access to affordable contraception and essential women’s health care services, Ryan has also voted to defund Planned Parenthood four times. His budget would completely eliminate funding for family planning under Title X, the section of the law which provides access to birth control, STD screenings and cancer screenings to low income families.

There is an addtional cost. There is no such thing as free lunch. Someone has to pay, so long as it is not Mary Lou, I guess it doesn't matter.

Planned Parenthood should be defunded. You want to support it, go ahead and make a donation. I would rather not have to pay (at the threat of jail time) for someone's birth control, STD screenings, cancer screenings, or anything else unless I choose to do so of my own FREE WILL.

Unless of course you see a pregnancy resulting from forced rape as a strange blessing from your god nd something to rejoice over, which I'm aware some of you do.

This comment is an attack? I don't see how.
"you were hoping that Romney would pick a moderate but he chose someone who might actually accomplish something good." It may be the truth but it isn't an attack.

I heard that Romney hates dogs and once bullied someone in highschool. To top that, Paul Ryan has yet to call Romney out on these truths.

I.M. Wright

The choosing of Paul Ryan is a blatant attempt to pander and appeal to staunch conservatives who have been extremely resistant to get behind Romney (although some are falling in line, like good ol' comrades, "just because" -- nice way to stand behind those so-called "values" you like to preach about).

I don't think it's going to work for them. Most people (those with common sense, which I realize excludes pretty much ever single partisan hack) realize what matters at the end of the day is the name at the top of the ticket. And that name is NOT Paul Ryan.

Falling in line because the alternative is worse. Perhaps some are making a choice between the lessor of two evils. With your omnipresence that allows you to read into the hearts and minds of anyone who disagrees with you, I am interested in what your values are.

Spreading the wealth around, killing the unborn, government freebies, kill lists, eugenics...?

I. M. Wright,
how come when Romney does it it's "a blatant attempt to pander and appeal to staunch conservatives who have been extremely resistant to get behind Romney"?
But when the President makes a blatant attempt to pander and appeal to the staunchly liberal LGBTQIA community it's just good politics?
