Passenger in Speeding Car Gets Ticket, Too -- A One-Way Ticket to Maryland
The following information was provided by the Brecksville Police Department
Police stopped a car for going 80 mph on I-77 Jan. 6, but it was the passenger -- not the driver -- who ended up in big trouble.
The officer discovered the man, 37, had a felony warrant for his arrest for violating probation in Maryland.
Brecksville police contacted a sheriff's office in Maryland, which asked police here to hold the man until he could be extradited.
The driver, an Akron woman, was warned about speeding and was cited for having her rear license plate obstructed by a plastic cover.
And Stay Out
A Riverview Road woman called police Dec. 31 because her neighbor trespassed in her yard.
The neighbor walked onto the woman's yard to knock snow off his bushes, a report said.
The woman showed police surveying pins marking the property line, two "no trespassing" signs and footprints she said were made by the neighbor.
