Pay-to-Participate Fees for the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools

The fees for 2011-2012 were approved Monday during the Board of Education meeting. PDFs of the fees are included below.

During its meeting on Monday, the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education approved the pay-to-participate fees for the 2011-2012 school year.

The fees for middle and high school students apply to sports, programs for the arts and other clubs. The fees are based on estimated expenses, like salaries and mileage costs, specific to each program, Karen E. Obratil, treasurer/chief financial officer for the district, said during the meeting.

The fees vary widely. At the high school level, the lowest cost activities are the Drama Club, Key Club and the International Club at $15 each. The highest fee this year belongs to varsity girls volleyball at $750.

Families will have to pay 100 percent of these fees this year, said Superintendent Scot Prebles.

The pay-to-participate forms for students in 6th grade, 7th and 8th grade and high school are included as PDFs to the right. The forms were provided by the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District.
