Photo of the Day: Brecksville Town Center’s Renovation Recognized
Construction is expected to wrap up by the end of the month.
The renovated Brecksville Town Center was officially unveiled Thursday morning amid the sounds of construction.
The project was expected to be done in time for the ribbon cutting, but a wet summer and fall pushed construction back just a bit. Denise Blank, property manager at The Snider Company, said everything should be done by the end of November.
Gregory W. Barrow, the vice president of construction services at Visconsi Companies Ltd., said the company studied the traffic patterns at the center when designing the renovations, and noticed that people liked to wander around a bit, visiting multiple stores. They incorporated that into the design, creating what looks like a collection of small shops.
The renovations, which started with a brand new name for the former Brecksville Shopping Center, were designed to give the stores a hometown, main street feel. Each now looks distinct from the other, with differing facades and building fronts.
