There was a lot of news in the area this week. Catch up quickly by reading the summaries below:
- The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education met earlier this week. The board plans to put a renewal levy on the August ballot. The levy expires at the end of 2012.
- Readers chose their favorite burger in Brecksville, and the winner was the Peppermill Pub and Grill! Voting is closed now, but you can still leave reviews on your favorite restaurants’ Patch Places pages.
- We got to know a few residents a little bit better: Brecksville Bootlegger owner Scott Sutton, Service Department employee Mark Bowers, who has an unusual birthday, and volunteer Ruth Dever McDonel.
And we’d be remiss not to mention the shooting at Chardon High School on Monday. You can find an overview of the news on this Storify, which pulls together local media coverage and social media comments. The Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District’s response can be found here.
