The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday in the high school auditorium. Here’s a quick look at what members are expected to discuss. The full agenda can be found on the district’s website.

• The board will hear the first reading of a few new or revised board policies. The affected policies relate to student assessments and academic interventions, the state's new “Third Grade Reading Guarantee,” and academic promotion, acceleration, placement and retention. • The board will review and vote on the district's financial reports for July and August, as well as the fiscal year 2013 appropriations. That allows the district to set aside money for specific funds, like the general fund or the permanent improvement fund, that will be spent throughout the year.
