Update: No Word on Romney Visit to Brecksville Area, but Avon Lake Rally Announced for Monday

The Romney campaign visited the high school Friday as a possible location for a campaign stop, Mayor Jerry N. Hruby said.

Editor's note, Oct. 27: It looks like the greater Cleveland visit on Monday will be in Avon Lake. Check the campaign's website for more details. The original post follows below.

There's nothing official at this time, but Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney may visit Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School on Monday.

Mayor Jerry N. Hruby said the Romney campaign visited the school Friday. Word quickly got out to the students, many of whom posted about the possible candidate visit on Twitter

Hruby said the campaign usually looks at four or five locations when a candidate is planning a stop. There is no official decision on a location at this time or an official announcement, and a representative of the campaign could not be reached as of Friday evening.

Hruby said that Romney is expected to visit the greater Cleveland area on Monday, but even that isn’t confirmed yet.

Of course nothing is confirmed, the Governors camp is all hype.

The Governor said in his 'big speech' today 'I know what it takes to lead, I am a leader.

How silly..

The Governor has NOTHING to say to concerned women. The Governor has shown us time and time again what kind of leader he would be when the going get's tough.EVERY TIME there seems to be an issue that is 'hard', he avoids it like the plague. His mode of operation seems to be that if he just avoids anything 'tough' people just give up and move on to something else. That is not leadership, that is extremely weak and spineless.

Mr Mourdock is a man Governor Romney ENDORSED this week for high office and will certainly oversee women's health legislation at some point and NOW Governor Romney has 'no comment'.

'Gods Will' has NO place in the same sentiment as 'rape'. Not even in some abstract Lenny Bruce joke.

My boy just returned in August from whatever it is they are still doing in Iraq, and we SEND kids overseas to combat extremism brought around by the 'Gods will' mentality. It has ZERO place here at home in the US Government.Governor Romney is a disaster, you can not like the President, but at least he takes stands and you know where he stands on stuff like this.

The Governor is acting like a pathetically weak and spineless chicken. Expect for Governor Romney to continue him to exhibit ZERO leadership when it is needed.

Where has President Obama shown leadership? In Benghazi, allowing for Americans to be killed at our embassy? In setting a Federal budget? In creating a phony stimulus that added over 831 Billion A YEAR to the federal debt.

President Obama is a war with our children with his spending, weakening America military, eroding opportunity, taking over our healthcare system and supporting infanticide.

Breaking you political promises and constantly blaming everyone else for your failures is not leadership.

As for your assertion about Women's health, Obamacare does more to damage women's health and the health of every American then any misstatement by a Senate candidate. Stop trying to divert from ACTUAL issues with this red herring. Mr. Mourdock is agains killing babies, period. President Obama supports killing babies even after they are born. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUkbuhXzbvI

So Brecksville allows Candidate Romney to speak at the High School, but didn't allow teachers to show President Obama's inauguration!? Double standard.

Obama's speech was to be played IN class and all students would be forced to watch. If Romney visits this would not be something students would be forced to attend, it would be an opportunity for area residents to see him speak. If President Obama wanted to make a person appearance in Brecksville I am sure everyone would support him, no double standard, apples and oranges.

I hope Mr. Romney does attend. More people need to see the necessity of voting for him.

If you think Romney cares about you just because you are white and upper middle class, you are wrong. You are not wealthy enough to count and never will be.

I dont know what I find more amazing Rebecca, that you assume to know who Romney cares about or that race or "class" matter to you. Romney donates 30% of his income to charity each year and helps many non-white, non-rich people. He does not seek recognition for this, it is just who he is.

I know the only thing that matters to Obama is to divide the country, demonize any opposition and destroy the fabric of our society or to quote him "fundamentally transform" the US? We can see what kind of American he wants based on his actions. It is also clear that no American matters to Obama, only his ideology and power.

Ask yourself a question has Obama's policies made us more free or less free?
It is the only question that matters.

Well said Jeff! It's amazing the responses you get when you try to have a factual discussion with a "typical" Obama supporter. My favorite is where is the 2008 Hope & Change Obama? Was it not candidate Obama who said "when you have no record to run on you turn the election into discusions about small things". Big Bird, tax returns, birth control.......... Where is the transparency the President promised us on Libya? We have 4 Americans killed and the Obama Drones in the media haven't mentioned it. This will be the norm if Obama gets another 4 years.
