Rope Rescue in the Cleveland Metroparks on Monday
A 16-year-old girl was injured after a fall in the Brecksville Reservation.
A rope-rescue team responded to the Brecksville Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks late Monday morning to help a teen who stumbled down the embankment.
Bob Rotatori, manager of marketing and public relations for the Metroparks, said the 16-year-old girl’s injuries were non-life threatening, but she was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The rescue began around 11 or 11:30 a.m., Rotatori said.
Brecksville's Assistant Law Director Sergio DiGeronimo said the rope rescue team is made up of a number of local fire departments, and that the emergency vehicles had gathered near the Chippewa Creek bridge and gorge in the Metroparks.
