Last Chance to Nominate Your Favorite Spot to Spend St. Patrick's Day

Here's your chance to recommend the best places in town to hang out on St. Paddy's Day!

On Saturday -- St. Patrick's Day -- many of us will be looking for a great place to meet friends, eat corned beef and cabbage and, well, drink adult beverages with ties to the Auld Sod.

Got a place you think is terrific? Do tell.

Beginning today -- March 12 -- and through 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, we'll be asking for your recommendation on the best places to eat, drink and hang out on St. Patrick's Day.

Give us your recommendations in the comments section below. They can be for a cozy tavern, a great restaurant or even the local VFW hall.

With your help, we'll put together a list of nominees. Then look for our poll on Thursday, March 15 and vote! We'll select a winner at 5 p.m. Friday, March 16 and announce it in a story.

In judging, we'll consider comments, poll votes and reviews in Patch Places, our complete directory of local businesses.

Thanks for the suggestion, Stephanie! I know Simon's was crowded last year for St. Patrick's Day. I'll put it on the list. Where else do people go?

Simon's is always crowded on St. Patrick's Day because they have AMAZING corned beef and cabbage, but they do a wonderful job of keeping the line moving. I dont think i've ever waited much longer than 20 minutes for a to-go corned beef and cabbage on St. Paddy's day in the past. So don't be intimidated by the long line they really keep it moving and they have a bag piper as entertainment while you wait!!
