Trial Set for Man Caught with 3/4 Pound of Marijuana
The driver was charged with three felonies.
A man caught traveling through Brecksville with three-fourths of a pound of marijuana in his car is scheduled for trial this week.
Kevin K. Robinson Jr., 28, of Oakwood Village, was pulled over Sept. 19 for a routine speeding violation on Brecksville Road, but wound up facing felony charges after police dicovered the marijuana in the car, along with six bundles fo cash totaling $6,100.
His trial is set for 9 a.m. Jan. 16, according to Maria Russo, spokeswoman for Cuyahoga county Prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty.
Robinson faces one count of trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony, as well as counts of possession of drugs and possession of criminal tools, both fifth-degree felonies.
He was also charged with two misdemeanors: speeding and endangering a child, because his daughter was in the car.
A report said officers who pulled over Robinson for speeding could smell fresh marijuana in the car.
Robinson said he was on his way to court for a previous speeding violation. Because he was on probation, police were able to search his car without a warrant and came up with nearly a pound of marijuana and the cash, bundled into packs of $1,000.

This lunacy has gone on long enough. The marijuana prohibition laws should never have been passed.
'Our' representatives need to re-visit the fourth grade in American public schools.
Somehow, they missed the concept of 'freedom.

Our nation was founded upon freedom of the individual. Each of our citizens was guaranteed the right to the pursuit of happiness...so long as he brings no harm to his fellow citizens or their property.
When did this change?
I spent 5 years in Federal Prison for a marijuana offense.
