Trix is Looking for a Home

Canine Lifeline help dogs find new homes.

Barb Wible writes: "Trix is a beautiful 4-5 year-old Boxer spayed female who came into an overcrowded county dog pound as a stray. When no one claimed her, she came to Canine Lifeline to find a new home. Trix is a very smart girl--she knows many commands so someone has worked with her in the past. She loves people and is good with other dogs. She is able to get over a 4 foot fence (split rail with wire) though so a 6 foot privacy fence or invisible fence would be best to keep her safe and secure. Trix is a very strong dog who'll need some work on the leash or an easy walk harness or gentle leader collar to be able to walk her comfortably. Trix is crate-trained and likely housetrained too. She currently weighs about 56 pounds but needs to gain more weight so should be 60+ at her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $150. Trix is spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up-to-date on vaccinations, wormed, and on flea and tick preventative. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it's a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you're interested in Trix." Canine Lifeline, an all-volunteer organization, helps find homes for dogs in need. And Brecksville Patch wants to help them get the job done!

Barb Wible, who fosters many of the dogs for Canine Lifeline, has been providing Brecksville Patch with photos and information about some of these dogs.

Canine Lifeline takes part in some sort of adoption event on the weekends. This week, the group will be at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's "Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo" event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

If you’re interested in giving Trix a home, fill out an adoption form on the Canine Lifeline website and bring it to the event.
