Watch Out: Missing School Zone Sign Near Chippewa Elementary
Parts to repair the sign have been ordered.
Drivers should pay special attention near Chippewa Elementary School, especially since one of the flashing school zone signs that normally remind drivers to slow down is missing.
A careful reader emailed Brecksville Patch after noticing the sign’s absence. Director of Public Services Ron Weidig said the city is aware of the missing sign—it was blown over by some strong winds about three weeks ago.
The city has ordered parts to repair the sign, and will install the new pole, base and sign as soon as they come in. Weidig said he’s expecting the new parts soon, but he didn’t have an estimated finish date.
