What's the Worst Song to Have Stuck in Your Head?

You know, those pesky earworms? Tell us what song you hate having in your head and we'll make a playlist.

We've all had songs stuck in our head that aren't necessarily terrible, but when it's the last thing rolling around your head when you're trying to go to sleep or when you're trying really hard to concentrate, it's pretty darn annoying.

So we want to know what you think the peskiest earworm is so we can compile a Spotify playlist, and then we can all commiserate (or laugh) together.

Maybe it's the Macarena (who knows the words to that song, anyway?), or maybe it's the Spice Girls' Wannabe (tell me what you really, really want). Whatever it is, we want to know.

Tell us in the comments! You have until 5 p.m. Thursday, and the playlist will be available Friday morning.

I'm not from Cleveland, so I just looked up this song and heard it for the first time...anyone else intrigued that the park bills itself as "a great place to meet someone"? Is this a singles amusement park? IS it a great place to meet someone?

OK, song change, this is in my head now. Every year when they'd start advertising, my colleague and myself would constantly sing it at work.

Commercial jingles (as some have mentioned here) are NOT songs.

Plus, if you still find them "annoying" -- especially those that haven't been on the air in many years -- then their advertising was successful. :)

DEFINITION OF A SONG: 1.A short poem or other set of words set to music or meant to be sung. I think jingles would be included!

I love people who copy and paste stuff w/out knowing what they're talking about.

A commercial jingle is NOT a song. I know from professional experience. You don't.

Unless you'd like to share with us your professional experience

Do you know what I love "I.M. Wright"? People who are self-proclaimed know it alls who like to go on social website for the purpose of being confrontational and berating other people while being so cowardly that they have to hide behind a fictional name. Here are a few more definitions I have copied and pasted for your enjoyment:
jingle: A short song, usually mentioning a brand or product benefit, used in a commercial.
douchbag: An individual who has an over-inflated sense of self worth, compounded by a low level of intellegence, behaving ridiculously in front of colleagues with no sense of how moronic he appears.

Fox 8 Friday night sports ad and music - Not really a true song, but I keep hearing it now, over and over and its starting to make my head pound! I have to change the channel when it comes on. I guess I'll be watching other programs for the next few months, as long as high school football season lasts!!!
Reminds me of how I grew to hate Queen's "I want it All", thanks to Value City using it in their commercials last year.

Rachel Abbey McCafferty, you'll remember this one ...

In our newsroom at Kent State University, there was a guy who would always sing "What if God was one of us?" I think every time that happened there was a collective groan from the newsroom because we knew it'd be in our heads all week!

When my grandchildren were little I provided daycare for them; (see http://northcanton.patch.com/blog_posts/grandpa-daycare) and they just loved The Wiggles. One song Quack Quack sung by Captain Feathersword keep me awake nights for almost a week. "Quack quack, quack quack cockadoodle doo." Might be a mistake bringing this up. I could be awake all night tonight with it playing in my mind.

Because that's how formats that primarily program CURRENT music -- and to their target demo (which you are not!) have been programmed for years!
