Isaac Luther, 15, shows off his drawing of the mayor, which Mayor Jerry N. Hruby called “outstanding.”

Mayor Jerry N. Hruby took some time Tuesday afternoon to meet with the Luthers, a creative pair of brothers who submitted work for the city’s time capsules.

Both tried their hand at realistic drawings of city buildings, and the mayor was especially impressed with Isaac Luther’s caricature of one Brecksville icon—the mayor himself.

Luther said he’s always preferred drawing people and the mayor just came to mind when he was thinking of people who represent the city.

Elizabeth Luther, the boys’ mother, said both have aspirations of working in the arts when they grow up.

Editor’s note: One of the photo captions has been corrected to note that the Luthers live in Broadview Heights.
