Patch posted a story about Shaker Heights HDTA program receiving a 1.6 million dollar grant to provide more funds to combat drug trafficking. I believe that the money could be spent better else where. The streets are crumbling and this is how they spend tax payer dollars? The police already have automatic weapons, an armored swat vehicle, and plenty of personnel. Are they going to use this 1.6 million dollar grant to buy a patriot missile defense system? Look at any sheet on statistics and it can be clearly seen that the war on drugs has been a failing costly endeavor. I will post my comments here so others may read. I don't know why patch removed the page, perhaps to censor the debate? Either way it seemed somewhat odd to me. I hope patch isn't practicing the tactics used by fascists to silence the public.

I have an idea how about you fix some of the streets in Shaker Heights, reduce the frivolous spending of incompetent politicians, and revitalize the area. That's very innovative thinking is it not? This country has been waging a "War on drugs" for the last 40 years. They don't waste money and time on this endeavor in other countries. All this does is add more funds to an already out of control Police State. The penal system is filled to the brim. What happened to liberty and freedom? I do not care what Joe Shmoe does in his basement, and neither should you. When are the police gonna arrest the Zionist wall street fat cats who drove the economy of this once great nation directly into a brick wall. There the elite so of course they are not subject to the laws of the United States of America. I think 1.6 million dollars would go a long way in some renewable energy sources for the city, so perhaps they could save the tax payers some money on the other end. A brilliant idea like that would have to be backed by politicians and we all know they wouldn't want to do anything to enrich the people and thus enhance their quality of life. City government needs a breath of fresh air these people who currently hold office care nothing for their citizen's nor the city. How bout an all organic farm within city limits I bet 1.6 million would go a long way there as well. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results.
