Why should I have to be fully transitioned to be able to use the women's locker room at the gym?
I think it should be at least a letter from a counselor or therapist that says that you have been living as a woman for a few months and that the therapist recommends the transsexual to use the public facilities.
Transsexual people may face a lot of harrasment and some men doing childish things.
For instance there was a guy at the gym who was about 75 years old who thought it would be funny to pull down my shirt and start laughing at me saying that I have no breast.
He has also thought it was funny to go into the same shower I was using and looking at me he asked if he can join me. All this could have been prevented if I was allowed to use the women's facilities at the gym.
I have also gotten from about a dozen men that "excuse me ma'am' but you know your in the wrong locker room."
It's confusing for the guys and end up having to tell them that I am trans and they won't let me use the women's facilities.
To put this out there most trans people don't go for surgery because it costs lots of money as much as a brand new car.
