Getting ‘Financially Fit’ in Brecksville

"An Ounce of Prevention," a financial fitness seminar, is slated to take place at the Brecksville Human Services Center on June 18.

Looking to get financially fit?

The city of Brecksville is hosting “An Ounce of Prevention,” a financial fitness seminar, at the Human Services Center at 10:30 a.m. June 18.

According to a news release, the seminar — led by a certified financial advisor from KeyBank — will focus on topics including avoiding scams, the curse of identity theft and keeping good records.

“Your heirs will definitely appreciate good record-keeping,” according to the news release.

The program is part of the “Year of Vitality” series, in conjunction with the 2013 Summer National Senior Games slated to take place in Cleveland at the end of July.

No reservation is necessary to attend the event, and it’s open to residents of any town.
