A Scary Scene: Halloween Arrives Early at the Library

A make-up artist visited Thursday night to share tips for parents and kids.

It was a grisly scene at the Thursday night, with little ghouls running around bloodied and moldy and loving every second of it.

Actress and make-up artist Katie Lane took some time out of her busy Halloween season to share some tips with children and parents at the library.

She brought her own supplies, like liquid latex for fake skin and β€œfresh scab” for, well, fake fresh scabs. The children in the audience volunteered their cheeks and arms as Lane demonstrated how to create pretend wounds, bruises, veins and mold – perfect for kids who want to dress up as zombies, aliens, vampires and the like this Halloween.

Lane travels all over the country for her craft. Locally, she works at Bloodview Haunted House in Broadview Heights.
