The money earned by the book sale is set aside in the “Friends” treasury and, the library manager requests funds from the book sales for programs and projects sponsored by the library.

The Friends of the Brecksville Library are volunteers who act as liaisons between the library and community. According to the library's website, they fundraise for the library through activities like author autographing sessions, book sales and craft shows.

The book sales have also supported events like treats for the monthly book discussions and puppet shows.

Residents interested in donating to the book sale can drop off books and magazines at the circulation desk during normal library business hours.

Accepted materials include books and magazines that have not been damaged or exposed to mildew. Anything in good condition will likely be taken.

Encyclopedias won’t be accepted.

If residents have any questions about the sale, they can call the library at 440-526-1102.
