Sharron Taylor said she likes working with the group and seeing the different skills each member has. What one crafter doesn’t know how to do, another will, she said.
“And you develop some beautiful friendships,” she added.
The group does work on some projects together, like creating place cards for . And they also coordinate projects to donate to various programs.
Taylor said the majority of the goods the group makes goes to a good cause.
One example of that was , which helps local families in need during the holiday season. Members of the group made knit caps and slippers for families to take when they picked up their food.
The members pay for everything the club uses on their own, except for the occasional donated yarn.
If anyone would like to join the Handcrafters, the group is open to new members. The . If you’d like to donate, members are always looking for yarn or old greeting cards.
