CVCC 40th Anniversary Celebration

Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) is inviting the public to join it for a kick-off celebration of its 40th anniversary on Saturday, October 1, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CVCC is a public school of choice for students, providing career-technical (formerly known as vocational) high school programs, adult/continuing education, career development (K-12+) and community services.

Every five years, CVCC pauses to reflect on its history, celebrate its accomplishments, and look forward to its future, which is made possible with the support of the residents of its eight associate public school districts: Brecksville-Broadview Heights, Cuyahoga Heights, Garfield Heights, Independence, Nordonia Hills, North Royalton, Revere and Twinsburg. Therefore, it is only fitting that they be invited to such an occasion

The following is a planned outline of events for the day, several of which are concurrent:

  • Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser – presented by BBHHS band boosters (9:00 – 12:00)
  • Classic Car Show – presented by OAPSE (10:00 – 3:00)
  • High School Open House (10:00 - 2:00)
  • Job Seekers Workshop (10:00 – 11:15)
  • Recognition Ceremony (2:00 – 2:30)
  • Ohio Solar Tour Site
  • Complimentary Dance Lessons
  • Blood Pressure Checks
  • Senior Citizens’ Activities & Hospitality Suite
  • Children’s Career Activities
  • Guest Presentations – Cleveland Metroparks, & AAA
  • Music, Food & Refreshments
  • Demos, Workshops, Prizes & Giveaways
