Last Chance: Check Out “On Golden Pond” This Month at Brecksville Little Theatre

There are shows this weekend and next.

’s summer show,“On Golden Pond," is a tale that explores relationships between family.

Jan Futhey, the director of the production, said in an email that she thinks the message of the show is a lasting one. Futhey writes:

“This is my third involvement with this play, and each time it becomes more clear to me just how timeless the message is. The story has many layers: an estranged father and daughter attempting to mend a fractured relationship; Norman, the cantankerous husband and father preoccupied with death; and Ethel, the wife and mother, his opposite in disposition, managing his moods and running interference when he’s less than charming with others. There will undoubtedly be many audience members who can relate to a particular character in the play.”

“This is an emotional story, one which will touch people of all ages,” she adds.

The show has already been running for one weekend, and there was a performance on Friday. The Sun Star-Courier gave it a good review, so check that out if you want to learn more.
