Patch Picks: Local Summer Camps

Brecksville Patch's weekly Patch Picks feature will help you get to know the area a bit better.

We may be facing at least one more snowfall, but summer isn’t that far away.

Today’s Patch Picks highlights a few summer camp and program options in the city, but we’re sure there’s more. If you have a suggestion for a summer camp for kids of any age, whether its in Brecksville or just nearby, please add it in the comments below. 

Patch Picks: Summer Camps

  • The at Central School has a variety of different morning and afternoon programs for students to choose between. These camps are for students who have completed kindergarten to those entering the 8th grade. 
  • The offers Summer Career Camps for two weeks in June. These camps are for students who will be entering grades 7  to 9 and address a variety of careers from movie making to cooking, according to a press release. 
  • The offers a summer camp program for students throughout the summer. The week-by-week schedule is available on the center’s website.
  • The Cleveland Metroparks has a summer camp program at its for students ages 6 to 8 and 9 to 11 throughout the month of July. According to the park’s website, students will hike, play games and do crafts. 
  • While the does not have an official camp, it will offer programs to help students keep busy during the summer months. The summer schedule is not posted yet.
