Staff members at the Brecksville branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library have some suggestions for readers of all ages.

There’s a lot of reading material out there. It can be easy to get overwhelmed with the selection or disappointed when your pick can’t be found on the library’s shelves.

So why not try one of these suggestions from the staff at the ? Their picks come from the system’s catalogue. 

This week’s adult recommendations were written by public services assistant Rachel Vaughn. The children’s book recommendation was written by public services assistant II, Karen Schmidt, of the Children’s Department.

Blood Oath by Christopher Farnsworth

When eager new agent Zach Barrows is assigned to work with Cade, Zach learns more than he bargained for: Cade is a vampire and has been keeping the supernatural underworld at bay for 140 years. Look for the sequel, The President’s Vampire, to be released later this month.

Baby Animal Pop! published by National Geographic

This big, beautiful pop-up book features five life-size foldouts. Photographs of baby animals on each two-page spread are followed by two pages of smaller photographs and factoids. Recommended for ages 2 to 7.
