It’s smoke and mirrors when the Board says they “have no choice but to hire legal representation” with taxpayer money to protect themselves against the teachers.
Do they have a choice in which legal representation is chosen? The BOE's attorney, Bill Pepple, has billed the district nearly $300,000 since January for just 5 months of service. That same attorney charged the Strongsville BOE over $511,610 to negotiate a ONE YEAR CONTRACT with their teachers' association.
