The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education refuses to put kids first

The Board of Education for the Breckville-Broadview Heights City Schools has stated countless times that they want to be transparent. They want your input. They want your feedback and your comments.

But do they?

The teachers and support staff are urging you to contact your Board Members, after all, YOU are THEIR BOSSES, right?

So, why is that when a 1998 graduate of the BBH Schools wrote a passionate and articulate letter praising the quality of her Breckville-Broadview Heights education, but criticizing the failure of the Board to negotiate with the teachers, she was met with a prying phone call? Despite the mention of her imminent child delivery within the letter, Mr. Tryon called the alumna in the hospital, after a scheduled C-section, to inquire where she got the information that the Board was not negotiating.

A 1996 graduate was met with a similar response in email form from Mrs. Mack. As this alumna, now a respected teacher in a neighboring district, offered her concern for the future of the BBH Schools, Mrs. Mack responded by suggesting the alumna put her own career on the line to become a Board member as Mrs. Mack has done.

The teachers and support staff are the ones who have your kids in mind.  We have the community in mind.  We heard the community asking us to "give back."  We have now offered $2.5 million in concessions. WHY WON'T THEY NEGOTIATE AND DO WHAT IS BEST FOR KIDS?  

What is this really about?  What do they really want?

We're not sure either... But WE want to START SCHOOL ON TIME to greet and teach our kids!  Call and write the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of education to get to the bottom of why they refuse do what is right for kids.
