Brecksville School of Music Closes Its Doors

In business for the past 30 years, the Brecksville School of Music has closed its doors.

A music hotspot in the heart of downtown — at 8945 Brecksville Road — the business shuttered during the last week of June.

That’s when many students and parents found out.

The space is now empty.

Neighbors said the shop closed abruptly, with no warning and no goodbyes.

A note was left in the window to visitors.

“I would like to acknowledge and thank teachers for their excellent work with helping the students gain their skill and appreciation of music,” wrote owner Jason Still. 

“Looking back, and seeing I have spent more than half of my life with this business just shows me how lucky I am to have been able to work with the thousands of students and parents who have wanted to strengthen their musical knowledge.”

Some of the instructors are expected to continue teaching, but not at the Brecksville School of Music.
