Business Notes: Lemonberry Frozen Yogurt Announces Plans to Open Brecksville Location

The owners hope to have it open by spring 2012.

Lemonberry Frozen Yogurt announced its plans to open a new location in Brecksville on Wednesday.

The announcement came out on the company’s Twitter and Facebook pages Wednesday afternoon, and there’s already a Facebook page for the upcoming Brecksville location.

“We’re excited to open in Brecksville,” said Lindy Bechke. The store is owned and run by the Bechke family.

The family . Bechke said her parents, who own a printing company in Strongsville, bought the building and had some extra space, so the family decided to start another venture.

At the , customers can fill up a cup with a variety of six rotating flavors and top it with their choice from dozens of toppings. Bechke said the store offers healthy options, like nuts and fresh fruit, as well as more indulgent ones like chocolate. Servings are then weighed, and cost 45 cents per ounce.

“It kind of makes adults feel like kids again,” Bechke said.

Bechke said the Brecksville store will be located at 8483 Chippewa Road, in the plaza by and . They’re still working through the lease and then will move onto any necessary construction and city permits. They hope to open in the spring. They’re also opening a location in Medina.
