Discounts, Deals and Freebies for Kids

Times are tight and we're all looking for ways to get a bargain. Here are some places around town where you can treat your child to something special and still get a good deal.

Deal: Free cookie for kids with their Cookie Club card

Pay just $1 for a Cookie Card at the customer service desk, and your child will get a free cookie every time you shop. According to the Cookie Club website, all of the proceeds from the $1 initial charge benefit local children's hospitals.

Good Until: The 2011 Cookie Card is valid through the end of 2011. The Cookie Card is limited to one cookie, per child, per day and the child must be present to receive the cookie.

Deal: Paul Hasman is the owner of the Brecksville location, and he said that kids can get a free "Flash Pizza" with one topping, if they read at least three books and fill out the required coupon. 

Good Until: Effective immediately, while coupons last; a coupon can be picked up at the Brecksville location of East of Chicago Pizza.

Deal: Owner Michael Simon says kids get a free cookie with purchase of a kid's meal. The kid's meals are $3.99 and you have your choice of grilled cheese, hamburger, cheese pizza, spaghetti, chicken tenders or fish and chips. Fries are included in the meal, or you can substitute applesauce or fresh fruit.

Good Until: Ongoing for kids 12 and under

Deal: All kid's meals are $3.99 and are served in a flying disc that you get to keep. Collect five, and you can trade them in for a free meal, said employee Carri Garik.

Good Until: Good on lunch or dinner, dine-in only for kids 12 and under

5. Buffalo Wild Wings, Broadview Heights

Deal: According to employee Rich Zawrotuk, all kid's meals are just $1.99 on Wednesdays (regular price $4.29). You have your choice of wings, chicken tenders, hot dog and more. Each meal comes with fries, or a fruit cup or carrots, and a drink.

Good Until: Ongoing offer for kids 12 and under, only good at the Broadview Heights location and only on Wednesdays
