New Business Opening Today: Crochet Innovations

The store, which will feature yarn and fashion, will open at 10 a.m.

A new business is opening in Brecksville today: .

The shop will sell contemporary yarn and supplies, as well as handmade accessories and apparel, said owner Marianne Krier. Krier will also offer classes in crocheting.

“I’ve always crocheted my whole life, since I was a child,” Krier said.

Krier said she set her hobby aside when her family and former full-time job as a nurse came around, but she never gave up her love of crochet. When her grandchildren were born, she got started again by making baby blankets.

Krier said the plans for the shop just came together—she had been looking for something a bit more creative than her last job working in medical records, she said. Now, she’s doing something she “always wanted.”

The store’s grand opening will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Hours will typically be 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday. The shop will be closed on Sundays.
