Steak, Seafood and Raw Bar Restaurant Opening in September

Seared will occupy the building formerly home to Zeke's Tavern.

Residents looking for a place to eat will have a new local choice next month.

On Sept. 14, Seared will open its doors to the public. The restaurant will feature steaks, seafood and a raw bar, said Robin Schulze, the assistant general manager for the restaurant.

The restaurant's location at 8188 Brecksville Rd. used to be home to Zeke’s Tavern. Cleveland Scene reported the opening of the new restaurant on Wednesday, mentioning some of the other eateries that have sat in that space over the years.

Schulze said the restaurant will be upscale, yet casual, and they plan to keep a lot of the old touches that gave it charm. They have been quietly updating the building in recent months, though, and there will be a lot of updates.

On Thursday, the interior was still in process and there was a sign out front advertising job openings. Schulze said they’re set when it comes to management, but they’ll still looking for people to work in the kitchen and in the front of the restaurant as servers, bartenders and hostesses. Anyone interested can stop by the restaurant between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays, she said.
