Open House Thursday Night for The Oaks of Brecksville

The facility should be open in the next few weeks, said marketing director Melissa Stevens.

The Oaks of Brecksville is holding a community open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

The event will give people the chance to see the new long-term care and rehab facility, which should be open and accepting patients in the next few weeks, said Marketing Director Melissa Stevens. The facility still needs to get its licensure and Medicare certification approved by the state.

The facility is part of the national Saber Healthcare Group. The group has more than 20 facilities in Ohio.

During tonight’s event, Stevens said people will be able to see the rooms and taste some of the chef’s food. They can also ask any questions they might have, as the full staff will be in attendance.

The facility is still hiring for some positions, Stevens said. They are also open to patient applications. The facility has 80 beds. The first floor will be for short-term rehab patients, and the second-floor will be for skilled care and long-term care.

The rooms are private and semi-private, and all have their own bathrooms. There will also be a full-service salon and an area for occupational, physical and speech therapy. The therapy area will also be available for outpatient use, Stevens said.

They had hoped to have the facility open in late spring or early summer, but there were some construction and weather-related delays, Stevens said.
