Sweet Valentine's Deals

Valentine's Day is Monday, Feb. 14.  There are plenty of ways to show someone your love and there are plenty of deals around Brecksville.  Here are five:

Deal: Send your sweetheart "Hugs and Kisses" from the Brecksville Florist. This charming flower arrangement includes daisies, chrysanthemums, carnations and roses in a red vase. The sale price is $35.00.
Good until: Offer good through Valentine's Day.

Deal: Karen's Hallmark Shop has a Valentine's Day special.  Buy 3 cards and get a "Hug Me Bear" or a "Cupid Snoopy" plush toy for $14.95, or a "Sweet Talking Pup" for $9.95.
Good until: Valentine's Day, while supplies last.

Deal: Everything you need for a Valentine's party: Valentine-themed cups, plates, napkins, tablecloths, mugs, ribbons and gift bags.  All are $.99. They also have giant Valentine's cards for $1.99 and doilies for making your own Valentines at 25 for $1.

Deal: "Romantic Dinner for Two!" This Valentine's Day special includes the following: A bottle of wine, choice of appetizer, choice of two select entrees (champagne chicken, asiago veal, steak and seafood combo or grilled citrus salmon) and choice of dessert. The special is $59.95, and reservations are recommended.

Deal: Do it yourself "Romantic Dinner for Two." I spoke with Beverly Ziegler in the seafood department about this special, who said  "you can be your own iron chef at home." This includes two certified Angus beef New York strip steaks (8 oz. average each), two lobster tails (7 oz. average each), preparation instructions and recipes. It all comes in a heart-shaped container for $12.99 per pound. The average total price is $25 to $30, depending on weight. Call the store and ask for Beverly to place an order.
