Two Brecksville-Based Companies Made The Weatherhead 100

The list recognizes and praises the fastest growing in the region.

Two Brecksville-based businesses made the annual Weatherhead 100 list, which honors the fastest growing companies in the region.

CrossCountry Mortgage (which was ranked 8th overall) and MediQuant (number 11 on the list) both received honors.

CrossCountry, a mortgage lender and Fannie Mae direct seller and servicer, has 48 branches nationwide.

MediQuant creates healthcare IT programs with applications for "revenue and data life cycle management."

Frank LaRose, Brecksville's economic development director, said that both businesses "are committed to Brecksville" and help to put a positive spotlight on the city.

"It's great news," he said. "It shows the kinds of businesses that we attract to Brecksville. These are innovative companies. These are companies that people in Brecksville should be proud of."

To qualify, companies must show consistent growth over the last five years.

The Weatherhead 100 has been compiled and managed by the Council of Smaller Enterprises since 2004. When it began in 1987, it was produced by the Enterprise Development Inc. — the former nonprofit subsidiary of Case Western Reserve University.
