Unemployment Rate Increases in Cuyahoga County

Cuyahoga County isn't the only one seeing an increase — all 88 counties saw a higher unemployment rate in January.

Out of 88 Ohio counties, Cuyahoga County lands at No. 58 for its unemployment rate in January this year. 

In January 2013, the unemployment rate was 8.3 percent. In December, the rate was 6.6 percent. Last year in January, Cuyahoga County had a 7.9 percent jobless rate.  

The highest unemployment rate is 15.3 percent in Pike County. Mercer County boasts the lowest figure at 5.3 percent, according to this chart
