Vertical Runner Coming to Brecksville

Another new business is headed to Brecksville.

Residents may have noticed some construction on the corner of Mill and Brecksville roads recently. That spot will soon be the new home of Vertical Runner, a specialty running shop.

Brian Stucky bought and remodeled the old Mill Breck building, and his son, Josh, will run the new shop.

While Stucky is helping to preserve a Brecksville landmark, the inside of the store will look brand-new. They’ve been remodeling it for about two months, and the grand opening is set for March 31.

Vertical Runner carries all the major running brands, said co-owner Vince Rucci, and the company prides itself on having a high level of customer service.

Vertical Runner has been in Hudson for about eight and a half years, Rucci said, and customers were asking for a new store closer to where they lived. Brecksville was a good location because it’s so close to the freeway—and plenty of parkland.
