Enjoy a week of healthy living at our rejuvenating women’s wellness retreat.

Want to live a life of greater wellness?
Here’s your chance to get all the healthy lifestyle guidance you need, from the renowned wellness experts at the Cleveland Clinic. The Cleveland Clinic Center for Integrated Medicine is offering a week of restorative, healthy living from November 10 to 17, 2013, in Captiva Island, Florida.

The week long women’s wellness retreat will offer coaching in nutrition, fitness, stress reduction and life management, plus all the amenities of a health spa — from sunrise meditation on the beach to an afternoon massage or a guided kayak excursion. "The seven days are designed to help participants continue to live a healthy lifestyle once the program ends,” says Dr. Tanya Edwards, medical director of the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Integrated Medicine. “Our guests learn not only in the traditional manner, but they actually live, understand and feel the benefits of healthy choices — all of which they take home," she adds.

Every meal will incorporate anti-inflammatory, immune-building foods from a Mediterranean-style menu created by executive chef Jason Miller. Experts from the Cleveland Clinic will lead evening discussions. Research shows that vacations are good for your health. Nine out of 10 Americans say they feel happier after taking a vacation, and 77 percent believe their overall health improves after a getaway.

"This mind-body retreat gives women the opportunity to take time away from their busy, demanding lives to experience a healthy lifestyle,” says Dr. Edwards. “They return home with a new perspective on their health and, most importantly, on the value of self-care."
