Brecksville’s a Tree City: Share Your Photos

The city is in its 18th year of the recognition.

Brecksville has been named a Tree City yet again!

The city is in its 18th year in the Tree City USA program, Mayor Jerry N. Hruby said Tuesday. Hruby took a few minutes during the City Council meeting to congratulate the and the and Service departments for their work.

Tree City USA is a program sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation. According to the foundation’s website, there are more than 3,000 Tree City USA communities across the country. The standards, which ensure that communities have a tree management program, can be found on the site.

To celebrate, share your favorite photos of the city’s trees by clicking “Upload Photos and Videos” above. You can share photos of trees just getting ready to sprout leaves in the spring, beautiful fall foliage shots, snowy landscapes or sunny summer scenes. Just help us show off the great trees that make Brecksville a Tree City!
